Your privacy at Yeko

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Yeko Trading Limited (怡高貿易有限公司) ("Yeko", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website (www.yeko.com, yeko.com.hk and related addresses, the "Website") and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

Yeko Trading Limited is responsible for your personal data (the "data user" or "controller"). Our address is 2/F, Yee Kuk Industrial Centre, 555 Yee Kuk Street, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon, Hong Kong. You can reach us at yeko@yeko.com or (852) 2304 3636.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Information you give us when you email or call us, use a form on the Website, or meet us (for example at a trade fair): your name, job title, company, email address, telephone number, country, and the content of your message, such as product requirements, specifications, artwork or quotation details.
  • Information collected automatically when you visit the Website: our web server and our content-delivery and security provider record technical information, namely your IP address, browser and operating system, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data (such as identity card numbers, health or financial account details). Please do not send it to us.

3. How we use your personal data

  • to answer your inquiries, prepare quotations and samples, and communicate with you about projects and orders;
  • to manage our business relationship with you and your company, including sourcing, production, quality control and shipping;
  • to operate, maintain and secure the Website, including detecting and preventing misuse and attacks;
  • to comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell personal data. We will not use your personal data for direct marketing unless you have given your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time free of charge by contacting us.

If the GDPR applies to you, we rely on these legal bases: taking steps before entering into, or performing, a contract with you or your company; our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and running and securing the Website; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent for direct marketing.

4. Cookies

The Website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other websites. Some pages set one technical cookie, PHPSESSID, a session cookie used by our web software. It contains only a random identifier, no personal information, and is deleted when you close your browser. You can block cookies in your browser settings; our public pages work without them. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

5. Who we share personal data with

We only share personal data where it is needed for the purposes above, with:

  • our affiliated companies, including our factories in mainland China and Vietnam, where needed to handle your inquiry or order;
  • manufacturers, testing laboratories, inspection agencies and logistics providers involved in your project, to the extent necessary;
  • service providers that process data on our behalf: website hosting (Alibaba Cloud, Hong Kong), content delivery and security (Cloudflare), email (Microsoft 365), and delivery of some page components (jsDelivr);
  • our professional advisers (such as lawyers and auditors), and courts, regulators or law-enforcement authorities where required by law.

6. International transfers

Some of the recipients above are located in, or process data in, places outside Hong Kong, including mainland China, Vietnam, the United States and the European Union. When we transfer personal data, we take reasonable steps, such as contractual commitments and our providers' safeguards, to protect it to a standard comparable to this policy.

7. How long we keep personal data

  • Web server logs are normally deleted after about five weeks. Our service providers keep their own logs according to their policies.
  • Inquiries and business correspondence are kept for as long as needed to deal with your inquiry and our business relationship, and business records for up to seven years where Hong Kong law requires it.

After that, we delete or anonymise the data.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, restricted administrative access, security monitoring and keeping our software up to date. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or of electronic storage is completely secure.

9. Your rights

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to request access to, and correction of, the personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to stop using your personal data for direct marketing. We may charge a fee for a data access request, which will not be excessive. We will respond within 40 days.

If the GDPR applies to you, you also have the right to request erasure of your data, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise your rights, please contact our Privacy Officer (section 13). You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, or, in the EU or UK, with your local data protection authority.
